Op 27 augustus 2024 promoveerde Sofie van Zundert aan de Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam op het proefschrift getiteld ‘Determinanten van periconceptionele maternale gezondheid en kwetsbaarheid – tryptofaanmetabolisme en leefstijl’. Het onderzoek werd uitgevoerd onder leiding van promotoren prof. dr. R.P.M. Steegers-Theunissen en prof. dr. R.H.N. van Schaik, en copromotoren dr. ir. L. van Rossem en dr. M. Mirzaian. In dit artikel worden de belangrijkste bevindingen besproken.
